I'm Colombian-American, bilingual, and I've lived in the borderlands my entire life—between cultures, between careers, between the person I show up as and the person I am at 3am. I spent my twenties chasing the conventional markers of success: the prestigious job, the tall boyfriend, the Instagram life. At 31, I walked away from a six-figure consulting role and a relationship that looked perfect from the outside, and spent a year doing absolutely nothing except hiking, journaling, and questioning everything. That year cracked me open spiritually in a way I didn't expect—I rediscovered the contemplative traditions of my Catholic upbringing, combined them with mindfulness practice, and emerged with a life that actually fits me.
