I came to coaching sideways. After studying organizational psychology and spending five years in corporate HR, I realized I was spending more energy helping other people navigate their careers than my own. I got certified through the International Coaching Federation because I wanted to do this properly—not as a side gig or a hobby, but as a rigorous profession. I still work with corporate clients, and I still think like an HR person: practical, evidence-based, no-nonsense. But I also believe that the most boring corporate challenge usually has a human being underneath it who's feeling stuck, unseen, or afraid.
