Coach-facing rates

How much should a life coach charge?

Enough that you can do the work without resenting the calendar. Not so high that you have no proof yet. This page is for coaches setting a number. If you are a client asking what you will pay, read how much a life coach costs.

Rates from live Coachivas profiles

These figures come from live, listed Coachivas coaches who publish a session rate. They are not a salary survey and not a promise you will book at the top of the range.

A few coaches sit far above the middle. That usually means a tight niche or prior career credibility, not a certificate from last month.

Common US session ranges

New coaches often start around $50 to $100 a session, or a small package so the client commits to more than one call.

A steady part-time practice is often $75 to $150. Full-time coaches with a clear niche commonly sit at $100 to $250. Executive and specialty work can go $200 to $500 or more.

Those bands match the income guide. Income is rate times booked sessions, minus empty slots and unpaid admin.

New coaches

How much should I charge as a new life coach?

Pick a number you can say without apologizing. $75 to $125 is a common first band for 1:1 life coaching in the US if you have little public proof.

Packages are easier for both sides than a one-off. Four sessions for a month beats hunting a new yes every week.

Raise the rate when the calendar stays full and people refer. Dropping to $40 to get clients trains people to treat the work as cheap and still does not fill a week.

Two different questions

What you charge vs what you take home

This page is the price tag you publish. How much life coaches make is what hits the bank after empty weeks. Read both if you are deciding whether the work can pay.

A $200 session with two clients a month is still a side income. A $90 session with a full book can be a living. Do the math before you copy someone else's posted rate.

Rate questions

How much do life coaches charge per hour?

Published 1:1 rates often land between $75 and $200 for general life coaching. Specialty and executive work runs higher. Always check whether the number is per session or per 60 minutes.

How much should I charge for a coaching package?

A simple start is four sessions in a month at a small discount to your single-session rate, paid up front. Complicated 12-week funnels can wait until you have delivered the short version a few times.

Should I charge less if I am new?

Charge less than a specialist with a waitlist, not less than a serious session. People still decide based on fit and trust. A giveaway rate can attract clients who disappear.

Does Coachivas set my rate?

No. You set the fee. If you use platform booking, 20% of that paid session goes to Coachivas. Calendly bookings you run yourself have no commission from us.
